How to Make a Table Glow

Nothing says "Christmas" like a beautifully set table. With a wide variety of linens and fabrics, your choices are many. But add more than just your best china to make your table glow. Here are a few tips to help you accessorize and make your Christmas table glow. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Choose gold and white to make your table glow. Add a few red or green accent pieces to make it more "Christmasy" if desired. Use a crisp white tablecloth with a gold runner. Place white candles on the gold runner. Use gold chargers under the china. Thread evergreens through the bottom of the candle holders for a more festive look. Place two small bowls on either side of the candles and fill them with small red ornaments. Your Christmas table will glow with gold and white.

    2

Use a color combination of silver and soft blue. Buy a silver tablecloth and use a white runner. Place blue candles on the white runner and thread blue garland through the bottom of the candle holders. Use blue china, glassware and napkins. Put frosted silver grapes or small ornaments in real silver bowls and place them on either side of the candle holders.

    3

Find muted colors for a beautiful table glow. Linens and accessories for Christmas are available in muted peach, pink and burgundy. Use your choice of tablecloth to match the muted table runner. Match the tablecloth and napkins. For example, if you are using pink (blush) colors, use a white tablecloth and napkins. Use the blush as a table runner and for accessories. A bowl of frosted blush colored fruit will look beautiful. Add lots of candles and your table will glow.
