How to Create a Microsoft Access Form Based on More Than One Table

You can view or enter data into multiple tables using one form. For example, if you are a potter, you could create a form that shows information from both your Galleries table and your Pottery table. Forms showing data from more than one table are called "flat." These instructions apply to MS Access 97.

Instructions

    1

Use the F11 key to open the Database window. Click on the Forms tab.

    2

Click New. A dialog box appears.

    3

Select the wizard that you want to use. In this example, we will use the Form Wizard.

    4

    Click OK.

    5

Select the tables and fields that you want to include on your form. Click Next.

    6

Select how you want your data to be viewed. Click Next.

    7

    Choose your layout. Click Next.

    8

    Select your style. Click Next.

    9

Name your form. Click Finish. Your form is now ready to be used.
