How to Decorate a Table for a Fancy Breakfast

How to Decorate a Table for a Fancy Breakfast

Fine china, detailed accents and the right flowers can turn an ordinary breakfast nook into an elegant morning display. A fancy setting creates an atmosphere that makes eating breakfast foods, such as crepes with raspberry sauce or gourmet seasoned egg dishes, more enjoyable. Putting this table together just involves using your best dishes, tablecloth and fresh flowers along with a few other details. Create and elegant table easily, regardless of how many guests you plan on serving. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Place a clean white, pink, blue or red tablecloth on the table, depending on what color scheme you want to create. Any color can work, as long as it's not a neon shade of green or orange. Certain colors are best suited for kids parties or other events.

    2

Set the table with your finest china plates, silverware and fabric napkins that complement the tablecloth. Napkins don't need to match the tablecloth, but the colors should go well together. Place the folded napkins on the right-hand side of each plate, and set the fork on the far end of the right side of the napkin. Place a butter knife in between the fork and plate.

    3

Place wine glasses just above the upper right-hand corner of each plate. Wine glasses have a more elegant appeal than basic cups or glasses. Fill these glasses with orange juice when the time comes for breakfast.

    4

Set a vase filled with red roses or other favored flowers in the center of the table.

    5

Find a silver tea set to serve morning coffee or tea in and set this on the table near the centerpiece. Keep the entire tea set with cups and on the tray until it's time to serve. Once you serve the coffee or tea, guests or family members can place their tea cups next to their wine glasses.
