How to Add Color to the Tables at a Wedding

How to Add Color to the Tables at a Wedding

Couples spend countless hours planning their wedding day. Everything needs to look how you want it, from the gown to the tables. The tables are part of your wedding dcor. Your guests may spend much of their time at your wedding sitting at a table, so if you want to impress them you should put thought into how you want your tables to look. Details can get lost if there is too much white, so add some color to your tables.

Instructions

    1

Arrange to use colored tablecloths if your reception venue offers them. Match the cloths to the color scheme of your wedding. If only white tablecloths are available to you, add an overlay of a different color. A fabric runner in one of your wedding colors is an option as well, or you can use bunched-up cloth around your centerpieces.

    2

Order dishes or napkins in an accent color. Set your tables with metallic plates or glasses made of colored glass. Set the silverware on colored napkins. Choose a color that complements or matches your color scheme for your wedding.

    3

Place centerpieces on your tables. You can bring more attention to your wedding colors by including them in your centerpieces. For a purple and green wedding, for example, arrange lilacs or other purple flowers in vases. Accent the flowers with leaves or scatter green jewels on the table.

    4

Tie ribbons or bows around the backs of your chairs to add more color to your tables. Chair covers can also come in colors that complement your wedding.
