Decorating With Tables in Front of the Windows

Decorating With Tables in Front of the Windows

Utilize all of the space, including the area in front of windows, in a small living room. Make the most out of the room that you have by displaying decor items, plants and other objects on the tables. Take advantage of the sunlight that streams in through the windows and onto the table by decorating with items that catch the light. Certain decor items will shine and sparkle in the natural light, casting a rainbow of colors around the living room. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    1

Decorate a table in front a of a window with potted plants, which will benefit from the sunlight that streams in. Fill one large, decorative plant pot filled with a vibrant flower or green plant in the center of the table. Choose a plant pot featuring colors and designs that coordinate with the overall look of the living room. Create a grouping of small terracotta plant pots on the table as another option.

    2

Fill apothecary or mason jars with vibrant pieces of sea glass, which will appear to glow when bathed with sunlight. Glue the sea glass to a large piece of driftwood and display it on the table to give the living room a casual, beach house-inspired look.

    3

Place crystal figurines on a table in front of a window; they will catch the light and send rainbow prisms around the room. Choose a figurine featuring a shape, such as a bird, cat, flower or seashell, that will complement the living room decor theme. Pick a hummingbird-shaped crystal figurine for a room featuring a garden-inspired style, for instance. Set the crystal figurine on a small mirror, which will enhance the prism effect.
